Teacher and mother of TV show host Wendy Williams. She began her teaching career in 1960 and retired 32 years later.

On September 28, 1988, the Asbury Park Press ran an article on her and the charitable work she had done in her community. She was noted for her drive, her commitment, and her relentless energy. 

For 64 years, she was an active member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc sorority. She was affiliated with The National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Inc., and the Monmouth Council of Girl Scouts. She was also a devout Baptist. 

In 1957, she married Thomas D. Williams, Jr. They were married for 63 years. She was the mother of one son and two daughters (including Wendy Williams). She had three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. 

She was the grandmother of Kevin Hunter Jr.
