During the 1950s, she performed in Broadway productions of The Pajama Game, Picnic, and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. Also a well known screen actress, she made numerous appearances on The Tab Hunter Show, The Red Skelton Hour, The Ghost & Mrs. Muir, and Oh, Those Bells, among other popular shows.
She made her Broadway debut in the 1947 production of It Takes Two and went on to appear in her first television series, Mister Peepers, in 1952.
She acted with George Nader in the 1957 thriller Man Afraid.
