Beat generation poet whose works include The Happy Birthday of Death and Long Live Man. He was the youngest of the beatnik poets and the second (after Jack Kerouac) to have his literary work published.
He was arrested as a teenager for breaking into a dress shop in order to steal formal clothes for a date. He published his first poetry collection, The Vestal Lady on Brattle, in 1955.
He was featured in a documentary film called Corso: The Last Beat.
