English sound engineer and four-time Grammy winner who worked with The Beatles on their albums Revolver, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, and Abbey Road. He died from a heart attack at the age of 72 in Los Angeles, California.
He started working as an assistant sound engineer at the age of 16 for EMI Records where he witnessed the Beatles record their first hit with Ringo Starr “Love Me Do.”
