English actor who is best known for his role as Jason King in the TV series Department S (1969-70) and its spin-off, Jason King (1971-1972).

When he was young, he lived in several countries across Europe, including India and Switzerland. He also spent time in a Japanese Internment Camp during World War Two.

He also released a self-titled album of music in 1970.

From 1956 to 1966, he was in a relationship with Alan Bates.

He appeared in the Doctor Who serial Planet of Fire, which featured Peter Davison as the 5th Doctor.
