He began his career hosting the show Time X in 1979. The show ended in 1989. He received a PhD in theoretical physics from the University of Burgundy in 2002.

In the 2000s, he appeared to have undergone plastic surgery that pulled up his cheekbones and chins. The two brothers were involved in the Bogdanov Affair which saw controversy surrounding the publication of a series of articles that were published about theoretical physics.
