English comedian who was known for his catchphrase, “Pin back your lugholes,” and for his Odd Odes that became part of the television show, That’s Life! He was also a panellist on the popular UK BBC panel show What’s My Line?, which ran from 1951 to 1963.

He graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Dance and was a successful businessman.

He founded Associate Speakers, an agency for after-dinner speakers.
